    Responsibilities

    The Digital Production Artist leads and produces the design production function for the creative team at Merkley + Partners. The position is responsible for delivering effective, aesthetic, on-brand, and on-strategy creative for websites, web pages, product graphics (including art direction and photography retouching), email promotional creative, email templates, social media graphics, and banner ads. The Digital Production Designer reports to the Director of Integrated Studio Services, and works closely with Web Operations, and the Project Managers.

     

    Job Duties:

     

    Produce the design and production for websites, product graphics, social media graphics and banners, static and rich banner ads, email campaigns, and web templates. While some projects may require directing external resources, the position entails being hands-on in creating and developing web-ready materials

     

    • Translate product positioning, existing creative, and marketing strategies into effective designs
    • Work with the creative team, and internal and external developers to ensure that aesthetics are aligned with usability, accessibility, and web standards. Work with developers to ensure proper implementation within a web environment, and ensure the consistency and integrity of the creative vision. 
    • Manage and produce digital design work, including banner sizing and versioning 
    • Translate wireframes into simple, easy-to-use User Interfaces 
    • Ensure the consistency of brand and creative across digital customer touchpoints 
    • Provide design support to other business lines in creating product graphics, mechanicals, logos, identity design, or other similar production work 
    • Other duties as assigned, including print

    Qualifications:

     

    Minimum five years of successful professional design experience, preferably at a digital agency, or with an in-house web team for a product-driven business

     

    Strong portfolio of design work, solving solutions to business problems through effective design

     

    Able to present concepts and lead internal teams to the correct solution

     

    Experience in web marketing/web and print design with a strong knowledge of HTML, Photoshop, Sketch, FTP, InDesign, Illustrator, Fireworks, and web design and development principles

     

    Deep knowledge of web-design processes

     

    Experience in designing e-commerce websites or advertising

     

    Strong work ethic and belief in personal accountability

     

    Strong attention to detail

     

    Strong time management

     

    Good interpersonal skills and a team player

     

    Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite products. Sketch and Photoshop in particular

     

    Working Conditions

    • Professional advertising agency work environment 
    • Sit at desk/computer for long periods of time 
    • Must be able to work overtime, as required
    • Must be able to lift weights up to 15 pounds.
