    Responsibilities

    Position Summary

    The Digital Designer produces the design function for the studio team at Merkley + Partners. The position is responsible for delivering effective, aesthetic, on-brand, and on-strategy creative production for banner ads, print graphics, creative presentations, and mechanical templates. The Digital Designer reports to the Director of Integrated Studio Services, and works closely with the Art Directors, Account Supervisors, Digital Operations, and Traffic Managers.

     

    Job Duties

    • Produce the design for websites and print, creative photo compositions, static and interactive web banner ads, print campaigns, and mechanical templates. The role is hands-on.
    • Translate existing PSD files, and Art Director’s layouts into effective designs. • Produce digital and print design work, including mechanicals, POP, brochures, creative presentations, and web banner sizing and versioning.
    • Work with creative teams and internal developers to ensure aesthetics also are aligned with usability, accessibility, and web standards. Work with developers to ensure proper implementation within a web environment and ensure consistency and integrity of the creative vision.
    • Translate wireframes into simple, easy-to-use User Interfaces.
    • Ensure consistency of brand and creative across digital and print work.
    • Other duties as assigned.

     

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in digital design, graphic design, graphic communications or related field.
    • Minimum 2 year’s experience, preferably at a digital agency or in-house Print/Web team.
    • Strong portfolio of design work, showing solution to business problems through effective design
    • Strong work ethic and team player
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Strong time management
    • Good interpersonal skills
    • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite products, Photoshop in particular

     

    Working Conditions

    • Professional advertising agency work environment 
    • Sit at desk/computer for long periods of time 
    • Must be able to work overtime, as required
    • Must be able to lift weights up to 15 pounds.
