The Sr Broadcast Traffic Coordinator works with the small, but very active, broadcast traffic team to handle traffic distribution for major luxury automotive client at a national and local level.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, prepare and disseminate television and radio commercial scheduling on behalf of Merkley clients

     

  • Create client Traffic estimates bundling input from multiple internal and external sources, management of day to day spend and closure of completed jobs in accordance with client billing procedures

     

  • Responsible for placing commercial distribution orders with designated tape facilities and approval of related invoices

     

  • Create commercial Ad Id codes upon account team, producer or client request

     

  • Perform and manage commercial legal clearance on behalf of Merkley clients dealing directly with network legal teams

     

  • Compile commercial scheduling actuals for each client and distribute to related talent manager

     

  • Oversee all outside vendors to ensure all work on the clients behalf is correct and accurately billed

     

  • Trafficking systems used:  DDS Spotpak (local), DDS Netpak (national), MediaVu (commercial legal clearance)

     

     

Qualifications/Competencies Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3-5 years of experience with broadcast traffic
  • Must demonstrate a proven track record of:
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Pro-active and cooperative attitude a must
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Computer skills – DDS(Spotpak, Netpak), AdID System, Word, Excel, Creative Suite a plus
  • Ability to manage time and people to task completion
  • Friendly demeanor

Working Conditions

  • Professional fast-paced advertising agency work environment 
  • Sit at desk/computer for long periods of time 
  • Must be able to work late when worloads or client dictates require
  • Must be able to lift weights up to 15 pounds.
